Policy SS1: Spatial Strategy for Rother
Sustainable and carefully managed growth
During the plan period 2025-2042, sustainable and carefully managed growth will be delivered in Rother to meet local needs for housing, employment, facilities and services together with supporting infrastructure. To achieve this, new development will be delivered in accordance with the spatial strategy (as illustrated in the Key Diagram) and provide for a minimum of:
(a) 8,671 new dwellings (average of 510 dwellings per year); and
(b) 26.2 hectares of employment land.
