North Tyneside’s local housing needs based on the standard
methodology is:
• 989 new dwellings per year.
The expected plan period for this Local Plan is 2025 to 2042 to provide the minimum fifteen-year period required from expected its adoption in early 2028.
As such:
• 17,802 homes must be planned for between 2025 and 2042.
