Notes
Policy LP 1 How much development do we expect? To meet Huntingdonshire's future housing needs in the period 2021 to 2046 provision will be made for at least 32,200 new homes across a range of tenures. Between 2021/22 and 2024/25 4,402 homes were counted as completed within the government's standard methodology inputs. From 2025/26 to 2045/46 the standard method requirement is 1,237 homes per year, totalling 25,977. An uplift of just over 5% is applied to allow some flexibility resulting in a total requirement of 27,300. The delivery of these will be phased through a stepped approach to the housing trajectory reflecting the need for infrastructure provision to support new homes. Homes are expected to be phased as: at least 5,250 homes in 2025/26 to 2029/30 with an annual average of 1,050 homes at least 6,250 homes in 2030/31 to 2034/35 with an annual average of 1,250 homes at least 16,300 homes in 2035/36 to 2045/46 with an annual average of 1,482 homes
