Policy H1: Housing Delivery
Over the Plan period (2023 to 2043) Derby’s housing needs will be met through the delivery of high-quality new homes in sustainable locations.
New homes will be provided to meet a range of housing needs including market and affordable homes, and across a variety of types and sizes, and which are capable of
meeting specialist needs which are identified in the Local Housing Needs Assessment.
In particular, the Council will:
a) facilitate the delivery of a minimum of 12,500 new, high quality mixed tenure
homes within the city between 2023 and 2043. Reg 19 plan (July 2026)
