The District Council commissioned consultants to advise on the calculation and a split between those areas outside of the National Park and those within it. The report is available to read online here: Derbyshire Dales Housing & Employment Land Needs Assessment Update 2023.
Using an older figure of 575 dwellings per annum, it concluded that this could be split so the level of housing the District Council should plan for is 415 dwellings per annum.
